Welcome to OswegoCountryClub.com v2.0!

Hope everyone enjoys the new look for our website. It was a long time coming. There is a new system in place and we plan on keeping a running list of news, events, tournament updates, and newsletters among others to the home page.

For a quick overview, you can always find the latest on the home page. We also have our main pages in the menubar under the rotating images of our club. Along the left side you’ll find information and links for other places on our site, as well as links to other places on the internet. For example, if you would like to get the latest newsletters, you can click the “Newsletters” link under the Categories section in the left hand menu.

Also, for a little more interaction with our members, you can now make comments to any of the posts you may see on the home page. Just click on the “Leave a comment” (or “# comments”) link next to the date under the post title. You’ll be brought to a form where you can enter your name, email and comment! To keep comment spam down, your comment may or may not be posted directly to the site. The new system has the ability to hold comments for moderation. Once you do have a comment approved, any further comments you post should go thru without the spam check.

The mailing list will soon be back to it’s regularly scheduled programming. The new system has an updated mailing list program and it should make it easier for us to send out any breaking news.

Also, if you have any problems or bugs with the new site…or even have suggestions, please use the contact form on the site. Your submission will go directly to Ed Fayette and I and we will see what we can do to fix your problem or turn your idea into reality.

There are many more plans in store so stay tuned!

Amazing Golf Shot from our Assistant Pro

Hey all,

Here was a little luck. Take a look at this footage, it was on the 15th hole at Oswego Country Club. I am working on a physics study with Dr. Tom Altman of Oswego High School. He is producing information on practical applications of physics with examples to encourage people to learn. I agreed to help him on the study of angle, lever, and rotational velocity as it applies to golf. Distance also became a factor. This was at 9.5 meters away from the pin. He asked me to attempt to fly a ball into the hole, here is the result.
