2008 OCC Men’s Member/Member Tournament

Saturday July 12 - 1:00pm “shotgun start” followed by buffet dinner and Calcutta.
Sunday July 13 - 8:00am “shotgun start” followed by lunch and Calcutta playoffs on #9.

Format - 2 man better ball with handicap. Contestants allowed 90 percent of their Blue tee handicaps.

Tees - Contestants will play from combined Blue/White tee settings both days.  Contestants age 70 and over will play Gold tees set at normal White tee distances.

Prize Money Payout - Prize money will be awarded to the lowest scoring teams after 2 days of play.  Ties will be broken by matching cards in the following manner - 1) Lower front side score. 2) Match cards starting with hole #1. 3) Coin flip.

Cost - $150.00 per team (Skins included for both days) - $20.00 additional for scratch division payout.

Calcutta - Teams will be flighted based on Saturday’s performance. The computer will randomly place teams into equal flights. Calcutta payoff will be based on a particular team’s 2 day total score. 1st place receives 50% of total pot, 2nd get 30%, and 3rd gets 20%. All betting will be in $20 increments and the last two remaining teams in each flight will be auctioned off as a pair.

Calcutta playoffs on hole 9 - Any ties for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in any particular flight will be decided by a playoff on hole #9. A combined score for both golfers will count for the playoff with strokes being allowed accordingly.

Sign up in the Pro Shop. You will NOT be allowed to pay with cash. Checks will be made out to O.C.C. for $150.00 ($170.00 for Scratch division contestants). Carts will be arranged through the Pro Shop and will be charged to your accounts.

$60 / team includes golf, tee gift, prizes, and dinner

18- holes Captain-n-Mate format

Divided into “combined age” divisions
Either the father or the son must be a member of the Oswego CC

*** Minimum age to play is 16 ***

Please make checks payable to OSWEGO CC
and turn in to Pro Shop by Wednesday, June 11th

(Carts will need to be reserved separately at the Pro Shop)

Golfing for the Future

During the month of August, the Oswego Country Club held it’s annual Adult/Child Golf Tournament. The twenty-one teams that participated were put into groups based on their ages, ranging from 4 to 16.

Tournament results were the following:
