Murphy Competes in PGA Professional Championship

June 20, 2017

Oswego Country Club head professional Michelle Murphy improved on her first round at the PGA Professional Golf Championship Sunday at Crosswater Club and Meadows Golf Course at Sunriver Resort in Sunriver, Oregon, shooting a second round 76 (+4).  Murphy did not make the cut, finishing her two days at +14 (156).  Jamie Broce and Rich Berberian, Jr. lead the championship at -6.

Murphy qualified for the national event by coming in second in the Central New York PGA Section Championship last year.

The event is a showcase for PGA Professionals that  features a 312-player field representing 41 PGA Sections competing at the peak of their games, and with its 20 top finishers earning a berth in the PGA Championship. The event was held at Turning Stone last year.

GOOD LUCK MICHELLE!
